I think the most exciting part of the hike was that I found a rattle snake!! I have never seen an adult rattle snake in the wild before. It was big too. I was about 7-8 feet away from it and I saw it move out of the corner of my eye and looked and realized what it was. I yelled "A rattle snake." Everyone that was around rushed over to see it. It quickly got annoyed with all the attention and slithered under a rock. Its eyes were bluish. I thought maybe that meant it might shed soon or maybe it was blind. I don't know. I think I got some great pictures though.
